HOW TO MAKE THIS LIVE
Connect approved, aggregate-only totals
- Ask the authorized district contact to confirm the official giving recipient and what totals may be published.
- Use a separate public Google Sheet tab with only
cash_received,pledged,updated_at— never donor names. - Publish that tab as CSV, put the URL in
config.jsand deploy once. Edits to the published totals can then refresh on the website, subject to feed access. - Verify the feed by opening the website and checking the timestamp and source-status line. A failed feed does not become a made-up update.
TRUST MATTERS
Clear totals build confidence.
Received funds are not the same as pledges. In-kind water, printing and volunteer time should be celebrated, but not counted toward the cash total. Cash raised specifically to buy hydration supplies for campaign fundraising events must be reported separately from unrestricted campaign proceeds, and the same dollars must never be counted twice.
